- I am the mother of five amazing sons. Yes, I birthed an entire basketball team! I am, of course, the ref (and head cheerleader!) and my husband Dave is the coach! One of our starting five and key players - Tyson- is now scoring big in heaven and cheering us all on down below. I am passionate about motherhood, lighthouses, purple, chocolate, writing, and running. I enjoy cake decorating, baking, and shopping (just a little too much!) I named this blog Beacon of Hope in honor of my son Tyson. He is definitely MY beacon of hope.

The cubes are easy. I use PicasaII (free)from Google for the effect. You just go into "create" and it's pretty slick. Picassa will down load right to your blog.
Thanks for stoping by my blog. Cant wait to get to know you. Yes my kitchen is purple. I cant pick out colors, there were two colors at the store together, this purple and a green, so I used them. I like em. And my mom made me a quilt (see april 8th post on my mom, its probably the last quilt on that post) that matches exactly. And I had the same material to make curtains but never got around to it, since I dont sew. But now we moved. boo hoo, but YEAH a bigger house. See you later
